Sanderson curled to herself, breathing heavily, sweat (now that was something very unusual for him- her ) rolling down her brows. She was slowly walking- and damn if that wasn’t the hardest thing to do right now- towards her bedroom, her feet feeling like they were from lead, her heavy stomach seeming even heavier.
She knew what was coming. Even before her water broke she knew it.
"Hum-" she swallowed breathlessly, leaning against the nearby wall, her knuckles on her hand deadly white as she fisted the cloth of her gown.
Right… Bring the heat down, keep it low.
Lucien, her precious treasure, can’t live through that much heat.
At the cry, Humphrey dropped whatever he was doing -the thumping of a book hitting the floor- as he made his way towards his lover. When he found Sanderson, the now female Sandmaiden was leaned up against the wall, curling her fists and expression full of pain.
Humphrey caught the scent of the fluids from the water breaking right away, and moved so take Sanderson’s hands and help her to the bedroom.
"Is it the baby? Our son is arriving? Damn, he’s earlier than I thought.. " At remember the comment of the baby arriving in a week or even a day’s time, Humphrey had hoped he would remain inside for a bit longer. Even as anxious as he was.
"Okay, okay, just breath Sandy, take deep breath.." Humphrey moved the two very slowly into the bedroom, sitting Sanderson at the edge of the bed and setting go of her hands. He grabbed a nearby pillow, and let her grasp that until he would return.
"I’ll be right back, I promise. I need to get the supplies."
He was the doctor in all this. And Humphrey felt rather relieved most of his medical equipment was moved into the castle when Humphrey decided to live in this dimension. He moved fast, using all his magic to levitate and move everything into the bedroom.
